The original burying ground of the settlers cannot be found so the next best thing is the oldest surviving burial ground.
There are NO stones PRIOR 1709

Cyndy > Jonathan Seymour Wattels, son to Roswell and Mrs Delight Wattles, who died Sept. 15, 1779, aged 10 months.

There were quite a few Saymour/Seymour/Seymore graves

FYI: I have Beauchamps in my lines and they originated at
Salem, Mass....some removed to Windham County,Conn in the Promfret area. This could be of that line.
