oldest settlers buried here with their pastor, Timothy Edwards, son of Jonathan Edwards ; also the Grants are buried here, ancestors of President Ulysses S.Grant.
The surnames are not all buried together so check all the photos.

S.Windsor is in Hartford Co.

SOUTH WINDSOR
at the mouth of the Scantic River, ship building and shipping were carried on from before 1728 to 1820.
here was the home of General Roger Wolcott, colonial Governor, 1750-1754 and the birthplace of his son, Oliver Wolcott, signer of Declaration of Independence and Governor of Connecticut 1796-1797.
Other distinquished native sons:
Eli Terri, originator of the cheap "Yankee Clock"
John Fitch, inventor of the first successful steamboat,1787
Grant family: homestead nearby is the ancestral home of
General Ulysses S. Grant (President Grant).
