Cyndy > salt marsh across the road from the houses and it is kept by Guilford Land Conservation Trust.
Cyndy > poor picture of the house but there's too many bushes around it. Built in 1804 Abel and Anna (Baldwin) Chittenden, on the home lot of William Chittenden who signed the Guildford Convenant 1639., brother in law of Rev.Henry Whitfield and ancestor of Thomas Chittenden (first Governor of Vermont).
Cyndy > This marks the place where William Chittenden had his house, it is in the previous picture but hidden by bush, nearly at the right side of the house
Cyndy > This house was owned by 2 families.....looking at the photo, left side was owned by ___Clap and the right by ___Wells if anyone has more info on this house such as first names and dates., contact me.
Cyndy > Built 1730, owned by Nathaniel Johnson, brother of the Rev. Samuel Johnson (father of Episco___of New England). First president of King's College what is now Columbia University in NY. and ordained in 1722.
