Cyndy  > History > Massachusetts > AMHERST, Hampshire Co......West Cemetery
this cemetery, especially where the old stones are, in implorable condition.....the sign in front states it's going under preservation....
-----------------------------------------------
PLEASE NOTE:
Many of the stones are not VERY ancient in terms of early settlers
BUT THE NAMES ARE.
---------------
Another important fact to know...Amherst was part of Hadley in 1759 and in 1775, was established as a town.
