this cemetery, especially where the old stones are, in implorable condition.....the sign in front states it's going under preservation....

Another important fact to know...Amherst was part of Hadley in 1759 and in 1775, was established as a town.

I dont know why the "Post G.A.R." emblem and the flag is by the stone.......unless Luke was buried next to them.
