The original burying ground of the settlers cannot be found so the next best thing is the oldest surviving burial ground.
There are NO stones PRIOR 1709

Cyndy > Mrs. Sarah Joy wife of John Joy who died March 10,1764 ,age 34.

Cyndy > Capt. George Denison died Oct. 23, 1694, age 74

Cyndy > Mrs. Mary Hooker, eldest child of Nathaniel Hooker, late of Hartford, died 12 Jan 1765 in her 65th year.

the "Mrs" in this case.....was she married or was it just a title of respect ? I suspect the latter..........she was probably a spinister.

Cyndy > LIEUT. RICHARD GOODMAN....died Nov. 21, 1763...aged 58
